The PULSE has learned that a full men’s, women’s and children’s clothing store will open on Main Street come Mid- March.
The store which is located next to Liverpool Pizzeria was once a Thornes outlet.
Work started on this place last September however the owners ran into a few problems the main one being a major situation with Nova Scotia Power.
“We wanted and aimed to open by the first of March but as a result of the power delay we probably should say the middle of March will be more like it,” the source told the PULSE.
The store had its windows boarded up over the winter period as a result of someone damaging one of the main windows.
Amazing isn’t it. This location has been empty for over a decade and no vandalism took place yet within weeks of it being taken over someone smashes a window.
Go figure.

This is great.
We need more stores.

Glad to hear of new store coming to Liverpool — and I hope they do well . I also agree with a lot Irv said. Certainly all kids are not bad but there is very little respect shown today — no respect for the law – teachers – elders – the flag – each other. Its fairly comon today for kids to get in a scrap and knock their oponent down and kick their heads in. Parents today beleive there kids above all else. We all know from experience that most kids will tell little lies to keep from being punished. Biggest problem with kids are the parents.

Great news and great work by the owners. I’d be a bit slower blaming kids for damage, though. It could have just as easily been a wayward adult. There are lots of nice, respectful kids around Queens. Can’t wait to have another local shop- let’s hope we support it so it can be around a long, long time.

You are correct Bruce. The Pulse was told that someone broke a window. But it was not revealed if it was an adult or a kid.
